On 22nd December, a 38-year-old female patient was admitted to our hospital with a hypertensive intracranial bleed, complicated by mass effect and autonomic dysfunction. Despite all medical efforts, her condition deteriorated, and she was declared brain dead on 25th December following apnea testing and completion of all mandatory protocols.
In a moment of extraordinary courage and compassion, her family graciously agreed to donate her organs.

On 26th December, a multi-organ retrieval was successfully carried out at Shree Mahavir Jain Hospital. Her heart, liver, pancreas, lungs, and both kidneys were allocated as per the guidelines of the Zonal Transplant Coordination Committee (ZTCC) to receiving hospitals including Glenegales, Nanavati, Hiranandani, and Medanta, Delhi.

A kidney was transplanted to patient listed with our hospital with the help of our Renal transplant team at SMJH hospital.

A seamless Green Corridor was created ensuring timely transport of organs — a remarkable coordination effort by multiple transplant teams and our dedicated clinical staff.

Because of the noble decision by this donor family and the unwavering dedication of our healthcare team, six lives have been saved today.
